I was contacted by a number of constituents about the concerning situation at Derby County. The historic club are threatened with liquidation and it is clear that the EFL have been dragging their feet. I wrote to the Minister for Sport to raise this issue.

The Minister for Sport replied assuring me that he is working on the problem. There seems to have been a breakthrough between the previous owner and the owner of Middlesbrough, and I hope to see a takeover completed in the coming days.
